Tekton® 44 Black Undercoating

Product Description

Sprayable undercoating protection against rust and mechanical abrasion, for undercarriages of cars, trucks, trailers, buses and RVs.

Tekton® 44 is a durable, thixotropic, fast drying anti-corrosion coating based on polymerized bitumen. The product has excellent sound deadening qualities and offers durable protection to the chassis of cars, trucks, buses and RVs. Dries to a permanently tacky coating to assure flexibility in low temperatures. It remains a tough adhesive film that offers excellent protection against various climates and gravel.

How to Use:

Shake before use. The surfaces to be treated must be clean, dry, rust, dust and grease free. Can be applied by light airless equipment, but also by an air-mix pistol with an air pressure of 3-6 bar / 45 to 90 psi. Optimum spraying distance is about 1 foot. Depending on the application, the product can be thinned using Mineral Spirits or White Spirit. Treat the surface with product until the desired layer thickness is reached. If thicker layers are wanted it is to be recommended to dry the layers in between.

Overspray or equipment contaminated with overspray, must be cleaned, while still wet, with Mineral Spirits or White Spirit.

Storage and Shelf Life: The product may not be stored under +10°C / 50°F and above +30°C / 85°F. Must be protected from direct sunlight and heat. When stored in a cool, dry and well ventilated area, the product has a shelf life of 2 years in unopened, original packaging.
